September Newsletter.
Welcome back to those returning after what we hope was a fantastic summer, and a big welcome to those that are joining us this term. We look forward to another year of fun and adventures!
Topics/Themes
This term we will be exploring the theme ‘All about me’. We will be finding out lots about our new and old friends and exploring what makes us different or the same. We will be looking at our families and different cultures and will incorporate a celebration for Diwalli at the end of October. The children will be busy replanting our vegetable patch with lots of winter vegetables and we will be watching what is happening around us as Autumn begins. We will be using lots of natural resources to support our learning and will be filling up our very bare display boards with your children’s fantastic creations.

**Allergy advice**
Thanks again for your continued support regarding Nut allergies. To ensure that our children are safe at all times can you please ensure that you do not send in food containing nuts or products that say they may contain nuts. Products that do will be sent home with a note explaining why they couldn’t be eaten.
Can you please ensure that all children’s clothes, lunchbags and bottles are named, especially Buttercross Uniform, as you will appreciate it can be very hard to pair the correct uniform with the correct child if they are not named.
PARKING
Can you please ensure that you park carefully when dropping off and picking up, ensuring that you don’t park in the school grounds or on School lane. Please can you also avoid parking on the zig zag lines and across driveways. For those parents that hold a current blue disabled badge, you are welcome to park in the disabled space within the Robert Miles Infant School drive. Thank you
Before we make a trip to the shops we were wondering if anyone had any items they could donate lying around gathering dust at home …
We would like
Dolls clothes and accessories.
Old saucepans/tins etc that can be added to our sound wall and used by the children to explore sound and music
TAPESTRY
Those of you that have given us your email address will have had an email sent to you from Tapestry explaining how to access your child’s learning journey. If you are having any problems don’t hesitate to speak to Tracey.
CO-OP Community Fund
Buttercross has been selected to receive funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund. It means that we will get a contribution towards new resources and experiences that support all of our families at Buttercross. But we need your help. The more support we get, the more funding we could receive. If you choose Buttercross as your chosen charity, every time you use your Co-Op card when shopping we receive a contribution of your total spend. So if you’re a Co-op Member log in to your Co-op Membership account and choose us as your chosen charity. If you’re not a member, please join and support us! http://www.coop.co.uk/membership/
