June Newsletter.
Welcome back after a hopefully restful half term, we hope that the good weather is here to stay as the children are thoroughly enjoying all of the lovely outdoor activities available.
Topics/Themes
We have been keeping a close eye on the pond area this half term, watching the frogspawn to see the tadpoles emerging and checking daily to see if the legs are growing! We are very much looking forward to seeing our first frog. The children have been carefully looking after the plants that Gabriel’s dad and Amanda helped them to plant last term and I’m sure you will agree they have done a great job and Pre-School is looking beautiful. We are supporting the older children this term with their transition to ‘Big School’, spending lots of time with their key person and playing lots of games that support the children to become ‘School ready’. If you have any concerns about your child’s transition to their new school please don’t hesitate to come and speak to Tracey. We are going to celebrate the Queen’s birthday with our own street party – weather permitting – and will be decorating the playground and having lunch at our tables outside.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Chris James to our Pre-School team. Chris came to us as a student studying NVQ3 Childcare and we are delighted to have been able to offer him a Pre-School Assistant role and know he will be a huge asset to our already fantastic team.
OFSTED!
As you know we had our Ofsted Inspection last term and are delighted with the outcome. You can read the report online at https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection-reports/find-inspection-report/provider/CARE/EY309556

PARKING
Can you please ensure that you park carefully when dropping off and picking up, ensuring that you don’t park in the school grounds or on School Lane. Please can you also avoid parking on the zig zag lines and across driveways. For those parents that hold a current blue disabled badge, you are welcome to park in the disabled space within the Robert Miles Infant School drive. Thank you
SUN CREAM
Now that we finally have some good weather can I remind parents to apply suncream to children BEFORE they arrive at Pre-School. If you would like us to reapply your own suncream at lunch time can you ensure that it is clearly labelled and given to staff to put in the suncream box.
**Allergy advice**
Thanks again for your continued support regarding Nut allergies. To ensure that our children are safe at all times can you please ensure that you do not send in food containing nuts or products that say they may contain nuts. Products that do will be sent home with a note explaining why they couldn’t be eaten.
Please help…
Can you please ensure that all children’s clothes, lunchbags and bottles are named, especially Buttercross Uniform, as you will appreciate it can be very hard to pair the correct uniform with the correct child if they are not named.
