July Newsletter

Photo Afternoon We still have slots available for our photography shoot taking place on Saturday 5th July 2014. If you wish to put your child’s name on the list it is on the parent notice board inside pre-school. This is an ideal opportunity to get some photos of all the family for an incredibly reasonable price. Please see Karen or Tracey for further details on how to book.

Summer Fair We are looking forward to our Summer Fair, taking place on Saturday 12th July at 1-3pm. We would love to see you there and if you would like to help on the day we would be extremely grateful. Please see Tracy or Julia for further details.

Pre School Committee As another school year comes to an end, we are looking to recruit new members to our pre-school committee. If you would like to hear more about what happens at the meetings and what you can do to get involved, please see either Karen/Tracey or speak to any of our committee members.

Parking- polite reminder  In order to ensure the children’s safety both at Buttercross and the Infant School please ensure that you do not park on the zig zag road markings on the main road outside the pre-school or in School Lane during school pick up times. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Message from Karen and Tracey As usual the end of term has crept up on us and we are busy getting ready for our school trip and other fun activities during the last week of term. A lot of the activities that week will be weather dependent so we will aim to keep you updated a bit closer to the time!!! The children have enjoyed our bout of fine weather and we have been able to harvest some of the fruit and vegetables we planted last term. The children have been able to enjoy strawberries and salad vegetables as part of their snack. This week we are planning lots of fun cooking activities with the children focusing on some healthy eating snack recipes. Do remember to visit our new website regularly as we have set up a new blog page which will keep you up to date with recent activities we have enjoyed as a group. Some of our children who will be leaving us to start school in September have already had school visits and we have been using opportunities during play to discuss and support the children with this transition. We wish all the children a happy and successful time at their new schools. We will be sorry to see them leave and hope they have enjoyed their time with us. As a team we feel it is important to thank the families of those that are leaving Buttercross. We are very grateful for your support, for the parents that have been members of our Parent Management Committee and those that have helped during our fund raising events. We hope that you will look back at your child’s time at Buttercross as a fun and enjoyable time.

Karen and Tracey
