2-Year Funding
From the term after their 2nd birthday, children of working families may be entitled to 15 hours of funded early years education for 38 weeks of the year. This funded education can be split across two providers if your child also attends another setting, and can include lunch clubs at Buttercross pre-school. Families who are in receipt of certain benefits may also be eligible for funding for 2-year-olds.
3- and 4-year funding
From the term after their 3rd birthday, all children are eligible for 15 hours of funded early years education. Children of working families may be entitled to 30 hours of funded early years education for 38 weeks of the year This funded education can be split across two providers if your child also attends another setting, and can include lunch clubs at Buttercross pre-school.

Session Times
Monday – Friday
Mornings 08:45 – 11:45 (3 hour session)
Lunch club 11:45 – 12:45 (1 hour)
Afternoon 12:45 – 15:15 (2.5 hour session)
Any Government funding received by parents of children aged 2+ can be used towards the cost of using this service.
If your child is not of eligible for the free entitlement and is 2+ years old, or you require any extra time above the funded 15/30 hours per week, you will be charged the following:
£6.20 per hour for those eligible for 3 & 4 year funding
£6.50 per hour for all other children
Please note our morning sessions are 3 hours and therefore will use more of your free entitlement than the afternoons and be a higher price if you are paying for them. Bills for any fees are issued half termly payable by the end of the first week of term.
We have 5 members of staff per session and a manager on site at all times. The sessions are open to children aged between 2 and school age. Children do not need to be toilet trained.
To ensure your child gets a place at pre-school when you need it, we recommend you place them on the waiting list as soon as you can, as demand is currently high.
